1. PURCHASING YOUR LDB

acquista

To purchase a LDB, all you need is a credit card.

Buying a LDB means taking out an annual subscription to your digital safe deposit box (€20/year with automatic renewal unless cancelled).
You can deposit text and multimedia files simply and securely, and then entrust them to someone you trust completely. Nobody, except you and the person to whom you entrust it (your VIP), will ever be able to look inside your Box.
Not even Dontshare.
To subscribe to Dontshare and purchase your subscription to a Life Deposit Box, simply enter your credit card details.

2. CREATING AN ACCOUNT AND ACCESSING THE LDB

The registration process involves 3 steps designed to protect your contents

i. ACCOUNT CREATION AND MANAGEMENT
Once payment is completed, Dontshare will send you an email with the username and password you need to manage your Dontshare account:

  • personal details
  • change password
  • download subscription invoices
  • renew on expiry
  • request assistance

ii. REGISTRATION TO DONTSHARE AND ACCESS TO THE LDB
To allow you to access your LDB securely and confidentially, Dontshare will send you the access key in two halves:

  1. the first half by email
  2. the second half by SMS (text message)

iii. SECURITY QUESTION
At the moment of purchase, Dontshare also asks you to create a security question to which you and only you know the answer.

At this point, you can access your LDB in total security.

All passwords and access keys are generated automatically and are used to guarantee the absolute security of your contents, which will be decrypted only through them. This way, not even Dontshare operators will be able to see the contents of your LDB.

3. ADDING CONTENTS TO THE LDB

inserimento

Create, select and preserve texts, images and videos to leave to your VIP.

You can put in (and change any time you want) 10 songs, 10 photos, 10 letters, 10 places, 2 video messages and unlimited texts in order to preserve your memories, instructions, passwords, advice, thanks, wishes, favourite books and recipes.

4. APPOINTING A VIP

The VIP is the trusted person to whom you give custody of your Box.

To appoint your VIP, Dontshare asks you to fill out a special email to send to a person you completely trust, asking him/her to become the VIP of your LDB, and explaining in which circumstances to ask Dontshare for his/her personal access code to your LDB.

Once the person accepts, Dontshare automatically generates and sends the first half of the password to the VIP immediately. The other half is sent when the VIP requests it from Dontshare (in the circumstances agreed between you).

At that point, you will no longer be able to access the LDB and the VIP will be able to access it in “read only” mode (so he/she cannot modify its contents in any way, but can download them in decrypted form).

5. RENEWAL, HANDOVER TO YOUR VIP OR TERMINATION OF THE LDB.

rinnovo

How a Life Deposit Box ends (or how it continues).

Subscription to the LDB has a duration of 12 months and on expiry of this period is automatically renewed – after three email alerts – for a further 12 months, unless cancelled.

Once the access key for the VIP has been generated, he/she will have time to decide what to do with the LDB: they can download all the contents and deactivate it or keep it open until the annual expiry date. At that point the VIP can decide to renew the annual subscription for as long as they deem necessary.

After deactivating a LDB (in case of cancellation by the owner or a request to deactivate from the VIP), Dontshare will proceed to destroy of all its encrypted contents.

SECURITY NOTE

note_sicurezza

With us your contents are secure and confidential. Just like in a bank.

The LDB has a “bank-level encryption” security standard, i.e. the same level of security applied by banks to transactions and records.
Security during the upload/download and viewing phases is via HTTPS, with Comodo certification. Cryptography and security are guaranteed by files with a dedicated extension to hold the confidential contents, encrypted with 256-bit compression.
